IN THE COMMUNITY

A long standing commitment to Birmingham

Itihaas has always believed that hospitality should extend beyond the restaurant.

In 2016, the restaurant played a leading role in the early days of Let’s Feed Brum, helping provide hot meals to people experiencing homelessness across Birmingham city centre.

That spirit of practical support continues today.

OUR SUPPORT TODAY

Where we can help, we will.

We currently work with Morning Bhai, preparing 60 portions of pasta every Tuesday and Wednesday evening for people who need them.

There is no campaign, no grand statement and no expectation attached to it. It is simply something we believe is worth doing.

OUR HISTORY WITH LET’S FEED BRUM

A chapter that helped start change.

Itihaas was one of the restaurants that helped get Let’s Feed Brum off the ground in 2016.

At the time, we were frustrated by the amount of perfectly good food being wasted across the city while people were going hungry. That led to regular hot food distributions and wider support for volunteers working with Birmingham’s homeless community.

The initiative grew quickly, bringing together restaurants, agencies, charities and volunteers across the city.

That chapter remains an important part of the Itihaas story.

HOSPITALITY BEYOND OUR DOORS

Hospitality is more than what happens at the table.

For us, hospitality has never stopped at the restaurant table.

It means looking after people, sharing what we can and contributing to the city we are proud to be part of.

If there is an opportunity to help, we would rather do something useful than simply talk about it.
